About CalmResolve
CalmResolve is a private, AI-assisted mediation service. It gives people a calm, neutral space to work through disagreements – without needing everyone to be in the same room, or even online at the same time.
The service is designed and operated by Spire Bellotte Consulting Limited, an independent UK-based technology consultancy. Our focus is on practical tools that help people communicate more clearly, safely, and fairly.
Why we built CalmResolve
Many disputes start small – a boundary line, noise, a disagreement at work, a pattern in a relationship – but they can quickly become expensive, stressful or deeply personal. Traditional mediation and legal routes can be helpful, but they are not always accessible, affordable, or available when people first need them.
CalmResolve was created to offer an earlier, lighter step: a way to be heard, to organise your thoughts, and to explore more constructive options before things escalate.
How the AI mediator works
Private conversations
Each participant talks privately with the AI mediator. The other person never sees your raw messages. The mediator helps you explain what is happening, how it feels, and what you would like to be different.
Neutral summaries
When it is helpful to reflect someone’s position, the mediator creates a short, neutral summary – not a quote. It focuses on concerns and interests, not blame. The goal is to reduce heat and increase understanding.
Structured reflection
The mediator asks gentle questions, reflects back what it has heard, and suggests simple ways to move the conversation forward – for example clarifying expectations, boundaries, or possible compromises.
Live or flexible sessions
You can choose a live session, where people join at the same time, or a flexible session, where each person can write in their own time. The AI mediator keeps track of the overall picture and helps the conversation move forward without pressuring anyone to be online together.
Privacy, safety, and boundaries
CalmResolve is designed with privacy and safety at its core. Messages are processed by the AI mediator and supporting systems, but are not shared directly between participants. The mediator never forwards one person’s message verbatim to another.
The AI mediator follows strict safety rules. It blocks abusive, threatening, or clearly harmful content and responds with calm, supportive language. Where serious risk is indicated, the system can flag this for further review in line with our safeguarding and data protection policies.
CalmResolve is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, they should contact local emergency or crisis services rather than relying on this platform.
What CalmResolve is – and is not
CalmResolve is designed to:
- Give people a calmer way to talk about difficult issues.
- Help each person feel heard and understood.
- Clarify what matters most on each side.
- Support practical, proportionate next steps.
CalmResolve is not:
- A legal service or a substitute for formal legal advice.
- Counselling, therapy, or a mental health service.
- An emergency or crisis-response service.
- A replacement for formal workplace or regulatory processes where those are required.
We encourage people to seek independent legal, clinical, or professional advice where that is appropriate. CalmResolve is intended as a supportive, early-stage mediation tool, not a final decision-maker.
