Separate channels
Mediation without speaking directly to the other person
Some conversations go wrong the moment people speak directly. CalmResolve® gives each participant a private channel with the mediator, so the issue can still be explored without turning the session into another argument.
When this can help
- You want to talk, but previous conversations have become defensive or circular.
- You need to explain your side without being interrupted or pulled into a row.
- You want the useful point to be heard without every raw phrase being repeated.
How the mediator bridges the gap
- It asks each person private follow-up questions so the real concern becomes clearer.
- It shares neutral summaries rather than forwarding raw messages.
- It keeps returning to practical choices, boundaries and next steps.
This is not about avoiding responsibility
The aim is not to let either person hide from the issue. The aim is to create enough distance for the useful part of the conversation to happen. If an apology, explanation, boundary or practical change is needed, the mediator can help explore that calmly.
Safety first
CalmResolve is not suitable where one person feels unsafe, pressured, intimidated or controlled. In those situations, it is better to seek appropriate external support before attempting mediation.
